Defendants, Jessie James Smith, James Haddix, Nancilee Adams, and Freeda Bergevin, appeal their convictions for conspiracy to distribute in excess of fifty kilograms of marijuana, in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 846 and 21 U.S.C. § 841(a)(1). All defendants contend that there was insufficient evidence to support their convictions, three argue they were entitled to separate trials, and one claims the district court erred in refusing to dismiss the indictment against her once it was discovered that a government witness had given false evidence to the grand jury.
